Amazon EC2 Integration Technical Overview

The Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) service allows users to add and remove compute resources on-demand, with the benefit of only paying for the "in cloud" hardware "infrastructure" capacity needed, when it is needed.

DataSynapse Federator™ software allows you to move groups of resources between existing DataSynapse environments, across platforms, versions and locations. Using the Federator 1.5 beta software will extend your DataSynapse environment seamlessly onto the Amazon EC2 cloud.

Our goal in designing the Federator solution was to not only leverage DataSynapse engines in the Amazon EC2 cloud by making it as simple as possible to add cloud based engines, but also to enable our customers to manage cloud based resources.
