DataSynapse Expands Distribution Channel in Japan with Appointment of ISID as Key ResellerTOKYO – 25 June 2007 – DataSynapse, the global provider of application virtualisation software, has expanded its distribution channel in Japan through a new reseller agreement with Information Services International-Dentsu Ltd (ISID), a global information technology services organization. ISID was selected as a reseller in Japan due in part to its extensive experience in the development of financial applications, as well as its in-depth understanding of customer needs.
DataSynapse was keen to work with a firm such as ISID that reflects its own understanding of the unique business issues in the financial sector and has demonstrable, practicable expertise in the creation and maintenance of financial applications.
“ISID has a fantastic track record of successful implentations; they retain their customers thanks to their thorough understanding of client needs, involvement in the minutiae of application development and their general commitment to providing the very best solution possible,” said James Shin, managing director, DataSynapse. “Now is the ideal time to establish this relationship, as there are strong indications within the Japanese market of an upsurge in interest levels around virtualisation – as businesses seek the IT agility that will align with business needs.”
ISID was impressed with DataSynapse’s success in the US and Europe, and saw benefits of working with a leading company that is providing a gateway into the next significant technology innovation in Asia and maintains a robust ecosystem of third party relationships.
“The Japanese virtualisation market is still in the very early stages of development, but there is no doubt that Japanese institutions will follow the example of similar organisations elsewhere across the globe,” said Tetsuo Iida, general manager of Business Planning & Marketing, Department of Financial Industry Business Operations, ISID.
“We take pride in the quality of our partnering relationships, and it was clear to us, after extensive benchmark testing, that DataSynapse offers one of the best solutions in the virtualisation marketplace. DataSynapse’s own international success clearly demonstrates its ability to deliver the solutions that can surpass exacting client requirements.”
Application virtualisation addresses the relentless need for greater business agility. CIOs are experiencing unprecedented pressure to get more from their computing resources, and DataSynapse’s solutions enable an enterprise to decouple its siloed applications from their dedicated resources and aggregate its server capacity so that resources can be shared, providing applications with power ‘on demand.’
DataSynapse’s solutions can quickly deliver ROI in the form of better application performance, improved delivery of service level agreements (SLAs) and ultimately, preservation of capital. Japanese financial institutions will benefit from the combined expertise of ISID and DataSynapse. Together, they will focus on virtualising those financial applications offering the greatest return to customers.
