Peter Lee | Chief Executive Officer and Founder

Prior to founding DataSynapse, Peter served as an investment banker at J.P. Morgan & Co. Peter has worked on a wide range of capital markets and investment banking transactions based in New York, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.

Peter holds a joint MBA/MA degree from The Wharton School/Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania in Entrepreneurial Management/International Affairs, and earned an AB in Government, cum laude, from Harvard University.


Jamie Bernardin | President and Founder

Jamie oversees the product, marketing, customer support, and technology functions at DataSynapse. Prior to founding DataSynapse, Jamie built a number of widely distributed and scalable systems at Barclays Global Investors, Risk Management Technologies, and Bank of America. Jamie originally entered the finance space as a quantitative analyst building models and algorithms for use in derivatives trading systems, credit and market risk reporting systems, and asset-liability applications.

In 2006 Jamie was recognized as one of American Ventures 40 under 40 in technology and in 2007 Jamie received the top 25 CTO award by CIO magazine. Before joining Bank of America, Jamie worked as a NASA Research Fellow conducting laser physics and numerical modeling research. Jamie attended Brown University where he earned a PhD in Engineering Physics, an MS degree in Electrical Engineering, and separate BS degrees in Engineering Physics and Applied Mathematics.


Robin Gilthorpe | Vice President of Financial Services - TIBCO Software

Robin is responsible for all client-related delivery and sales activities across Europe, the Middle East & Africa at TIBCO Software Inc. He initially joined the predecessor company (Teknekron Software Systems) in 1993, then re-joined the firm in 2003 after a multiyear hiatus, to drive their global financial services business as they re-entered the market on a direct basis.

 

During a varied career on three continents, he has held various positions in sales, consulting and management and been responsible for all stages of business growth. These have ranged from the start-up of operations to divisional responsibilities encompassing client consulting, solution delivery, sales, marketing, and business development.




Peg Murphy Jackson | Managing Director - NeoCarta Ventures

Peg joined Neocarta from NBC, where she was a Vice President of Business Development. Peg joined NBC in 1996, where she was responsible for investing in strategically related internet companies and managing NBC's interactive TV group.

 

Prior to NBC, she was a manager at Reuters Newmedia investing in early stage internet companies and managed a Reuters/TCI joint venture based in Denver. Prior to Reuters Newmedia, Peg worked as an associate in Toronto Dominion Bank's Media group, analyzing broadcast, cable and cellular deals. She received her MBA from New York University and a BA from Georgetown University.




Michael A. Krupka | Managing Director - Bain Capital

Michael joined Bain Capital in 1991. He was one of the founding members of the Information Partners Capital Fund, a technology focused fund managed by Bain Capital. Prior to joining Bain Capital, Michael was a Consultant at Bain & Company where he focused on technology-related companies. In addition, he has served as President and CFO in two Bain Capital technology portfolio companies. Michael received a B.A. in Chemistry from Dartmouth College.


Jim Maikranz | Former Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales - JD Edwards

Jim brings 35 years of IT enterprise sales, strategic alliance, and business development experience to the DataSynapse Advisory Board.

 

Most recently he was senior vice president of worldwide sales at JD Edwards where he was responsible for the development and overall execution of worldwide sales strategies, sales support activities and strategic alliances. Prior to joining J.D. Edwards, Jim served as senior vice president of sales for SAP, where he developed sales strategies, participated in global pricing strategies and established competitive positioning initiatives. He spent two years with SAP in Europe during which he crafted the company's sales methodologies, market positioning and sales training programs for Europe, Asia and Africa.

 

Jim has also served in senior executive positions for Computer Application Specialists, an oil and gas industry firm, and Info Services and was a founder and member of the Board for Chaptec Company, Splash Pond, and Stratascope companies. He has been an advisory board member for I2 and is currently on the Board of Directors for Healy-Hudson Corporation, Swift Rivers, IONA and Lombardi Software.
